- About Lorena B. Fernandez
Lorena is an artist, poet and Expressive Arts Coach. She has kept a journal since she was
eleven years old from which all her creative works arise: her poems, short stories, paintings
and sculptures. She strongly believes in the power of art to elucidate the human experience.
Lorena works with ARTreach, a non profit arts and education outreach (http://www.
artreachonline.org) as Expressive Arts program director. She has been an artist advocate
with her Houston Chronicle blog Artbeat (http://blogs.chron.com/artbeat/) in which she
shares information about artists and the Houston art scene. For more information about
